How do I use Skweez?
To start using Skweez simply register your mobile phone number on our home page. A confirmation code will be sent to your phone that is used to complete your registration. Once completed, choose a Group Name and then follow our simple instructions to start group messaging! Skweez Group chats and responses will appear on the phones of everyone in your group at the same time.
Once you are ready to start sending messages you can choose either Broadcast or Group Chat. Select “Broadcast” and only you can see any replies. Select “Chat” and everyone in the group sees all responses, a “reply-to-all” text message. Manage the groups you create online at the Groups and Contacts page on the website or on your phone.
How much does SKWEEZ cost me?
Skweez is FREE to use! Note that standard text messaging rates apply.
Who can use Skweez?
For details on who can use Skweez please see our Terms of Service. You do not need a "smartphone" to use Skweez, however, an iPhone App and an Android App will be available soon.
Does Skweez work in my country?
Skweez is currently for US customers only. Worldwide Skweez access is just around the corner.
How do I manage my groups online?
Login at the Skweez.com homepage and enter your mobile phone number and password.
How do I build a group?
You can individually enter the names and cell phone numbers of the people you want in your group on the website. These people will also show up in your Contacts list so they can be easily added to other groups you form.
Are the groups I create private?
Absolutely! The contacts and groups you create from those contacts are yours. Please see our privacy policy for details.
Which type of message should I send; Broadcast or Chat?
- Broadcasts are perfect for sharing a single message quickly.
Ex: “Bowling tonight at 7:30 at the usual spot. Be there!”
Only you can see any replies. Broadcasts can be sent to many contacts at once.
- Chats are ideal when you want to converse and share information as a group.
Ex: “Lets figure out who is bringing what for the bbq 2morrow. I’m bringing Soda/chips. Who can bring hamburger buns & condiments? Hot dogs?”
Chats are limited to 10 people per group. Any more than that and things get crazy!
How do I send a message using Skweez?
You can send Skweez messages in two ways.
At your computer: Log in to the Skweez home page, compose your text message, select your group and message type (Broadcast or Chat) and hit “send.” Your message and any replies will appear under the group name on the home page. They will also appear on your mobile phone, which allows you to start a Chat on your computer and end it on your phone or vice-versa!
From your mobile phone: Type in your group name preceded by the @ sign. Then enter a space and compose your text message. Send the entire message to 53535, the exclusive Skweez number.
Ex: “@family We are having dinner tonight a 6:00pm at Mom’s house. Don’t be late!”
